CRY OF THE GULLS

So from Sidmouth we traveled down to Fowey which is a bustling small port with narrow streets leading down to a harbour. Whilst there we went to visit 'cry of the gulls' gallery which sells a ecclectic mix of contemporary fine arts and crafts www.cryofthegulls.co.uk. It was very ironic that while sitting on the harbour wall that a very large sea gull swooped down and robbed our fish and chips cheeky birdy.

Pop Up Cafe At Bud Garden Centre

Over the bank holiday I went to a pop up cafe at Bud garden centre in Burnage. The cafe was run by Liz who had made a amazing variety of cakes too many to mention but here are a few courgette cake, carrot cake rubarb and custard and my favourite beetroot and chocolate yum yum! It was all in aid of raising funds for MANDUAR MATTERS which was set up in 2006 to support families in a village in Gamia , West Africa. The money will go towards a solar powered pump. For more info go to www.manduarmatters.org.uk. luckily the weather was fine and it was a great success the garden centre Bud based in burnage is a real treasure packed into compact area is a wonderful variety of plants. www.budgarden.co.uk It is open Friday, Saturday and bank holidays the plants are obviously very well looked after and for anyone local I would recomend you support this gem of a place
